Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 14:6
“And Jonathan said to the young man who carried his armor, ‘Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that the LORD will work for us, for nothing can hinder the LORD from saving by many or by few.’”
Reflections: Jonathan, the son of King Saul, showed remarkable courage when he decided to approach the Philistine garrison with only his armor bearer. Acting without his father’s knowledge, he relied entirely on God, knowing that true victory doesn’t come from numbers or strength but from God’s limitless power. Jonathan’s boldness demonstrates that when we take steps of faith, trusting in God, we open the door for Him to work wonders on our behalf. Remember, the same God who empowered Jonathan is with you today, ready to save and grant victory in the face of any challenge.
Prayer: Lord, help me to step out in faith like Jonathan, fully trusting that You are able to bring victory regardless of the circumstances.
Confession: My trust is in the Lord, who saves by many or by few.
