Scripture Reading: Esther 9:12
The king told Queen Esther, “In Susa the capital the Jewish people have killed and destroyed 500 people, including Haman’s ten sons. What have they done in the rest of the king’s provinces? Now what’s your petition? It will be given to you. What’s your further request? It will be done.”

Reflections: Esther obtained favors from King Ahaseurus to overturn her people’s death sentences. The king agreed to Esther’s request by asking her to sign a decree in his name stating her wishes. The king issued the counter-declaration Esther requested, enabling the Jews in every town to unite and defend themselves. This ruling emancipated the Jews and allowed them to slay 500 enemies with the sword. After learning of the victory, the king told Esther he would still award her more favors. This access to favours and its extension were unusual, and they demonstrate the instrumentality of God’s hand in the lives of Esther and her people. Like Esther, God can cause you to enjoy extended favours from your destiny helpers until you achieve your life’s goals.

Prayer: Dear Lord, let me enjoy extended favours from my destiny helpers.

Confession: I enjoy extended favours anytime the need arises.
