Tuesday, 3rd December 2024: Sometimes Your Helpers Will Need Your Help!

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 30:11-12 (KJV)
“And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water. And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights.”

Reflections: While pursuing the Amalekites, David and his men encountered a starving Egyptian abandoned by his master due to illness. Though seemingly insignificant, their compassion in feeding and restoring him provided the critical information needed to locate the Amalekites and recover their families and possessions. This passage reminds us that those who play pivotal roles in our breakthroughs may not initially appear capable of helping us. Often, we must first invest in them. By helping others, we open doors for God to work through them for our benefit. Whether through encouragement, resources, or time, our investment in others is never wasted when guided by God’s leading.

Prayer: Dear Lord, grant me the grace to invest in others, trusting that You will work through them to accomplish Your purpose in my life.

Confession: My breakthrough is tied to my obedience and love for others.
