Scripture Reading: Genesis 26: 62
And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.
Reflection: You will realize that after his sacrifice experience with his father Abraham at mount Moriah ( Genesis 22), Isaac becomes completely absent from the narratives until his meeting with Rebecca, his bride. At this time, his residential address is noted to be close to a well in Lahairoi ( Genesis 26:62). Lahairoi is a hebrew word which means “him that liveth and seeth me,”. Thus Isaac was dwelling by ‘the well of him that liveth and seeth him’. What a picture this unveils before our eyes! Even though Isaac may have been out of the sight of people, he was within that of God. You may not be seen by people but this is never so with God. God sees all things at all times (Psalm 139:8). Once you are conscious of this fact, your conviction to live a life of righteousness and faith will grow stronger. With a life of righteousness, you are bound to disallow sin to rule in your life ( Gen 39:9). With that of faith, you are sure to be connected to the ever available resources of the divine at every point of need (Gen 21:19). What a huge difference it makes in your life when you know He sees you at all times!
Prayer: Lord, help me remember all the time that you see me at all times.
Confession: God lives and sees me at all times. I can never be hidden from his sight. I will not compromise my fellowship with him. I will not be cut off from his provisions and protection.
