Reflections: Joseph had two dreams indicative of his destiny. In both dreams it was clear that he was going to be a very prominent person in the future. His brothers did not take kindly to this and out of envy, got rid of him by selling him to some Ishmaelite traders. Although they thought they had moved him into oblivion, God had not. His presence was with him. God’s presence is ‘God exerting His influence in your life in a way that liberates and enables you to progress in the midst of limiting factors’. This expression of divine presence created the room for Joseph to rise up in the land of Egypt from a position of a slave to that of a Prime Minister. By this, his destiny as pointed out in the dreams he had years back, came into fulfillment. Like Joseph, what you need most is the expression of God’s presence in your life . It will bring your dreams into realization despite the odds.
