Tuesday, 28th July 2020: Kindness has the power to open doors for you!

Scripture Reading:  Exodus 2:21-22 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses, Zipporah his daughter. And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.
Reflections: Moses was surprised to see the 7 ladies return. Their father had asked them to bring him home. Apparently his act of kindness of saving these ladies from the cruelty of those shepherds had reached the ears of their father Jethro. Moses could see that Jethro could not just gloss over the issue especially the fact that he had helped to water the flock tendered by the ladies without charging any fee. When Moses got home with them, he was surprised at what door his gesture of kindness had opened up for him. Apart from being given free accommodation, he was also employed to work on the farm of Jethro and given one of his daughters to marry. His life as a wonderer was over. Kindness has the power to open doors of wonders for you. Be kind towards people, especially as led by the Spirit!
Prayer: Dear Lord, lead me to show kindness to the needy.
Confession:  I am led to show kindness to people. I encounter unusual open doors.
