Scripture Reading: Mark 8: 22-23
And he cometh to Bethsaida, and they bring a blind man unto him and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; when he had spit on his eyes and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
Reflections: Jesus consented to the goal of curing the blind man. Instead of performing the miracle where he stood, Jesus moved the site. He took the blind man’s hand and escorted him out of town, where he cured him. Evidently, for walking away, Jesus must have had some issues with the first location. This alludes to a fundamental essential for activity planning and execution: environmental scanning. Before implementing any action that would assist you in achieving your life goals, you must first assess your operational environment. This will allow you to recognise either the threats you must address or the opportunities you must grab to achieve success. Learn to scan your environment, as Jesus did, and allow the results to decide how you pursue your goals.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to abide by the principle of scanning my environment
Confession: I scan my environment to identify threats and opportunitie.
