Scripture Reading:Micah 7:8
Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
Reflections: Israel was about to go into captivity. This was due to their sinful nature. As a result, they were going to become the laughing stock of their enemies. In prophesying this pending doom, Prophet Micah however indicates that Israel was not going to allow herself to be held captive forever. They were going to rise up again from their fallen state, break the power of captivity and return to their former glory. He said due to this, Israel’s enemies should not seek to rejoice over them at all when they succeed in holding them captive. This response of Israel reveals an important winning mindset for daily living. You are not to agree to remain in a fallen state or a miserable condition. The fact is that you are designed to get up when you fall down and you must utilize this design at all cost. This is what will stop your enemies from rejoicing over you!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for the grace to rise from any fallen state. You are the light of my salvation.
Confession: I am designed to get up when I fall down. I will not accept to remain in any fallen state. I rise up from any ill condition in life in Jesus name.
