Tuesday, 26th September 2023: Resilience and determination will help you push through!

Scripture Reading: Mark 5:27-29 When she had heard of Jesus, she came in the press behind and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway, the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt healed of that plague.

Reflections: A large crowd followed Jesus. The commotion of the people caught the attention of a woman who had been suffering from chronic bleeding for twelve years. She had spent all her money on medical bills, but nothing seemed to work. When she learned that the crowd had gathered because of Jesus, she believed this was her breakthrough moment. She decided to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment and to do this, she had to push her way through the crowd. It wasn’t an easy process, but she continued until she got close to Jesus. The sickness disappeared when she stretched out her hand and touched Jesus’ garment. This narrative underscores the significance of resilience and determination in surmounting obstacles. Push through until you make it!
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me develop a persevering spirit.
Confession: I push through till I make it.
