Scripture Reading: Matthew 1:19-20
“Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.” –

Reflections: Joseph wrestled with a decision he thought only he knew about—quietly breaking off his engagement to Mary. Yet, God was fully aware of his thoughts and intervened through an angel to guide him. This account demonstrates a profound truth: nothing is hidden from God. He sees every thought, knows every intention, and understands every decision we contemplate, even when we believe they are private. God’s omniscience is not to condemn or expose us but to guide and direct us toward His perfect will. Just as He lovingly addressed Joseph’s internal struggle, He desires to lead us when we face uncertainty, fear, or confusion. His knowledge of everything about us is a source of comfort and a reminder that we are never alone in our decisions or circumstances. Surrender your struggles, fears, and uncertainties to Him, allowing His wisdom to lead you into His perfect will. Merry Christmas!
