Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 34:10-11. No prophet ever rose again in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew with such great intimacy. What signs and wonders the LORD sent him to do throughout the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all of his servants who lived in the whole land!
Reflections: Israel suffered as slaves in Egypt for 400 years. In response to their cry for liberty, God prepares and sends them a one-man army, Moses. The army of Pharaoh and the gods of the entire land of Egypt proved to be no match for this man. He terrorized the land of Egypt with 10 plagues, the last of which killed every first born son of the Egyptians including their animals. He finally drowned the entire army of Pharaoh with their sophisticated weapons in the Red Sea as he led Israel to complete freedom. The secret of Moses was that he maintained a great level of intimacy with God. Intimacy is established and boosted by the amount of quality time you spend in His presence and by your ever readiness to do as He pleases. Your level of intimacy with God will indeed determine how strong you can be as a one-man army.. Keep increasing your level!
Prayer: Oh Lord, bring me into a deep intimacy with you and use me as a one-man army to bring deliverance to the bound in life.
Confession: I maintain a deep level of intimacy with God. I spend quality time in His presence and do as He pleases.
