Tuesday, 1st April 2025: Confess, Don’t Conceal!

Scripture Reading: 2 Samuel 11:14-15 mnctototogel
“And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah. And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.”

Reflections: David, instead of confessing his sin of adultery with Bathsheba, sought to conceal it. When his attempt to cover up her pregnancy failed, he orchestrated Uriah’s death—a grievous act of betrayal and murder. This story reveals a powerful truth: hiding sin often leads to even greater wrongdoing. Unconfessed sin festers, driving us to destructive measures to maintain a false image of innocence. The refusal to acknowledge wrongdoing blinds us to its moral and spiritual consequences. Sin must not be concealed but confessed to God, who is faithful to forgive. Confession breaks sin’s grip, brings restoration, and leads us back to righteousness.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me not to conceal my wrongdoings but to confess them to You.

Confession: I confess my wrongdoings and receive His forgiveness.
