Scripture Reading: Luke 17:10
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do

Reflections: Many can surge forward because they are appreciated for what they do. Although it is good to be appreciated for what you do, if this remains the only source of your motivation, you may give up one day when the inevitable happens. Jesus points us to the need to derive our motivation only from our faithfulness to deliver on our given task despite any odds. In His servanthood message, Jesus admonished that a servant should focus on the joy of having accomplished his assignment Nathan than look forward to being appreciated. Your ability to remain faithful is, therefore, your most significant source of motivation. Once you are positioned with such a mindset, you will become a limitless performer!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me focus on my ability to remain faithful to my assigned roles.

Confession: My ability to remain faithful to my assigned roles is what motivates me to carry on!
