Scripture Reading: Acts 16:6-8
Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, after they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.
Reflections: Paul and his companions desired to spread the gospel, but the Holy Spirit forbade them from preaching in Asia and Bithynia, redirecting them to Troas, where Paul received the Macedonian call. This shows that not every opportunity aligns with God’s perfect plan. Even in godly pursuits, we must yield to the Holy Spirit rather than rely on our own understanding. At times, we may want to take certain paths in career, ministry, or relationships, but if we are not sensitive to the Spirit, we may go where God has not sent us. The Spirit leads not only through open doors but also through closed ones. Sensitivity to His leading requires prayer, obedience, and patience.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be sensitive to Your Holy Spirit.
Confession: I am led by the Holy Spirit. I trust in God’s guidance, and I walk in His perfect will.
