Scripture Reading: Mark 8:31
And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
Reflection: We all have destinies to fulfill. Easter speaks of the fulfillment of the destiny of Jesus on earth. It is important to note that he foretold his death and resurrection to his disciples before it took place ( Mark 8:31, 9:31). Obviously this was indicative of the faith He had in the promise of God the Father to raise him up from the dead. Thus as he allowed his crucifixion to take place, Jesus did so with the conviction that the Father will fulfill his promise of raising him up from the dead on the third day. The faith of Jesus was a strong and a bold one! Clearly without faith, we can’t yield to what God is asking us to do regarding our destinies. Indeed without faith, fulfilling your destiny in life will be difficult. Have faith in God and do as he says as you trudge along your destined path. God, the rewarder of faith will honor his word and glorify you.
Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me yield to your will by faith.
Confession: By faith, I will do whatever God wants me to do. I have firm conviction that God will do whatever he says he will do. By faith, I will fulfill my destiny in life!
