Scripture Reading: John 11:43-44
And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin.
Reflections: Lazarus, a friend of Jesus, fell ill. His entire family believed that due to their close relationship with Jesus and generous support of his ministry, Jesus would promptly come and heal Lazarus. However, their hopes were shattered when Jesus arrived four days after Lazarus had already died and been buried. The family thought it was too late for any intervention. Despite their doubts, Jesus approached the tomb and miraculously raised Lazarus from the dead, astonishing everyone. This event serves as a potent reminder that God’s timing and plans are perfect, and though they can be contrary to human expectations, it’s never too late for Him to act. Like the family of Lazarus, God may not do it your way but He would be up to the task!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that it is never too late for you to act.
Confession: God may not do it my way but He would be up to the task!
