Tuesday, 15th September 2024: Sometimes, the only way forward is by letting go!

Scripture Reading: John 12:24
“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” (John 12:24, NKJV)

Reflections: In a conversation with His disciples, Jesus revealed that the time had come for His glorification. Using the analogy of a grain of wheat, He taught that unless the grain falls to the ground and dies, it remains a single seed. But if it dies, it brings forth a rich harvest. This profound truth points not only to Jesus’ own death and resurrection but also introduces the principle of self-sacrifice. For true growth and advancement, there are moments in life when the only way forward is by letting go. This often involves pain, loss, and surrender, but it is a necessary path for producing fruit. To live by this principle, we must understand that our sacrifice fulfills a divine purpose. Sacrifice isn’t optional; it’s a requirement in our walk with God. Though it may seem costly, God promises that the reward will far exceed the price, as He multiplies what we give up in faith.

Prayer: Lord, help me to embrace the principle of self-sacrifice.

Confession: I choose to let go and surrender what God requires.
