Scripture Reading:1John 2:26-27
These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.
Reflection: ‘Watch out for those who seduce you’ the Apostle John admonishes the church without mincing words. ‘You have the anointing to discern them so don’t let them get you’, he adds. The word ‘seduce’ ‘describes the fascinating magnetic pull that someone has that draws you to him/herself’. When applied to pastors in this context, it refers to those false men/women of God in disguise who lure people into their fold through various seductive mechanisms. These may include satanic motivated miracles, prophecies, healings, etc. Indeed, watch out for the seducers! They are on the loose. Don’t fall prey to them. Depend on the anointing to discern them. Glory to God!
Prayer: Dear Lord, let the anointing responsible for discerning false pastors be activated in my life.
Confession: By the anointing I will not be seduced by false pastors!
