Tuesday, 13th October 2020: Make them uncomfortable!

Scripture Reading: Luke 4:36. And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
Reflections: An unusual scene took place when Jesus entered a synagogue and began to teach. A man in the congregation began to speak out loud disturbing the service. It turned out to be a demonic manifestation. It was obvious the man had a demon driven problem in his life. The demon who initially appeared to have been operating comfortably now became so uncomfortable due to the presence of the authority and power of Jesus. Finally the demon had no choice than to leave the man’s life at the command of Jesus. The man became normal having been completely set free. The story, firstly, indicates that until we get demons uncomfortable, they will take a comfortable seat in our lives, rendering us rather uncomfortable. Secondly it points us to the need to make demons uncomfortable by exercising the authority and power we have in the name of Jesus (Luke 10:19-20). Don’t ever forget you have authority and power over demons through the name of Jesus! Make them uncomfortable!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for the authority and power I have over demons in your name.
Confession: I have authority and power through Jesus Christ over demons.
