Scripture Reading: John 11:11
These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep
Reflections: While sleeping, your body rests. At that time, you are incapable of engaging in any action. Similar ideas apply to death, except that it implies the permanent cessation of all acts. In anyway, falling asleep or passing away renders you incapable of engaging in any action until you regain consciousness. Jesus’ companion Lazarus fell ill and died. Jesus described his demised state as having fallen asleep and declared that He will awaken him. Jesus stunned the assembly when He actually raised Lazarus up. This means that God has the ability to revive any ‘situation,’ whether it is’sleeping’ or ‘dead. When God chooses to awaken such a state in your life, as He did with Lazarus, the necessary turnaround will occur. God’s power will consequently reverse any hopeless situation in your life, and you will resume your usual path of existence.
Prayer: Oh Lord, let every ‘asleep’ and ‘dead’ condition in my life be turned around by your power.
Confession: Every dead condition in my life is turning around in Jesus name.
