Scripture Reading:1Thessalonians 4:3-4
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour
Reflections: Paul admonishes the Thessalonians to remain sanctified. To be sanctified means “to set yourself apart for holiness’. This translates into a lifestyle where you strongly dislike sin; and forsake it in favour of a life consecrated unto God. By implication, you put your body under control for the sole purpose of becoming worthy for God to use. It is crucial to remember that whatever you do not keep under control will get out of control. Don’t let your body get out of control. Keep it under control through sanctification!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I choose to hate sin and forsake it. Help me stay sanctified
Confession: I bring my body under control. It will remain holy and honourable for the Lord’s use.
