Thursday, 5th November 2020: You can know what you do not know!

Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Reflections: We understand from Jeremiah that God shows his children great and mighty things which they do not know. This is indicative of divine revelation. Divine revelation enables you to know what you don’t know but need to know. There are several examples of this in the Bible.John got to know the state of affairs of seven churches in Asia as well as upcoming end time events through divine revelation. Noah on the other hand built an ark because he was divinely informed of the coming rains. Pharaoh too stored food because he was told about the coming severe famine. Israel also smeared blood on their lintels and door posts because they knew an angel of death was going to fly through Egypt to kill first born sons. Much as you have knowledge of the standards required for Holy living and are meeting those requirements, it is also important from time to time to be informed by the Lord about future events so you will be well placed to deal with issues. Yes, you can know what you do not know. Just ask Him!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me download spiritually, any information I need to know so that I will not be taken unawares in life.

Confession: I live in ever readiness to receive information divinely from God.
