Scripture Reading: Acts 12:10
When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city, which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, passed on through one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.
Reflections: It was all like a dream, but it was real. Having been miraculously released from his cell by an angel, Peter followed on as the angel walked out and headed towards the prison’s main gate. The strange thing was that although guards were around, it appeared these guards couldn’t see them. They, therefore, walked unseen past the first guard post and then the second before coming to the main gate. This gate was made of iron and was secured by locks. Surprisingly, the gate swung open right in front of them! They entered the city and started walking down a narrow street. At this time, the angel disappeared. Peter was free at last. Angels are real and sent on assignment to deliver God’s children who are in trouble. Like Peter, God will cause you to have an encounter with angels who will walk you out of any prison condition surrounding your life.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for the reality of angels and their role in rescuing your children who find themselves in trouble.
Confession: By an angelic intervention, I am out of every evil scheme holding up my life.
