Scripture Reading: Isaiah 11:15-16
And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt
Reflections: A highway is a main road connecting cities or nations. The Prophet Isaiah tells of a future event in which God will establish a highway that will facilitate the return of Israel’s dispersed population. He will destroy the gulf of the Egyptian sea and split the river into seven to create this needed highway for his people. Isaiah cites the parting of the Red Sea that made a pathway for Israel’s escape from Egyptian captivity as an example to remind Israel of God’s capability to create highways. God is indeed a master at building highways that connect his people to their destinies. He makes a way where there seems to be no way. Like Israel, God will develop your breakthrough “highway”!
Prayer: Let the highway to my breakthrough be created in Jesus’ name.
Confession: Every highway to my breakthrough is created by God.
