Scripture Reading: Exodus 8:22
And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end, thou mayest know that I am the LORD amid the earth

Reflections: God sent Moses to rescue the people of Israel from bondage in Egypt. God used a series of divine judgments against the Egyptians to achieve this. Although these judgments were meant to affect the entire land of Egypt, God granted a part of the land called Goshen, where the Israelites lived, immunity from all these onslaughts. Seeing every part of Egypt and every Egyptian suffer affliction while Goshen and its residents enjoyed exemption was amazing. This event confirmed Israel as God’s covenant children to the Egyptians. Just like Israel in Goshen, God can also create an exemption scenario for you. This act will mark you as a covenant child of God, boost your faith, and deflate your enemies’ confidence!
