Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 10:6
And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled

Reflections: Paul introduces us to spiritual warfare and, in particular, to the spiritual weapons that are potent enough to destroy strongholds, demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and breaks through every arrogant attitude that defies the true knowledge of God. In his submission, he is quick, however, to say that our success in warfare will be achieved only when we have demonstrated complete obedience to the divine will. This speaks of the necessity of following rules of engagement. Rules of engagement refer to the given orders in any discipline that stipulates what one can and cannot do. It is the surety for one’s advancement, success and protection. As Christians, until living in complete obedience is followed as our rule of engagement, we will be defeated in warfare despite the superiority of the weapons we have. Look out for the rules of engagement anytime you are assigned a task or given a privilege and follow it.

Prayer: Help me, Lord, follow the rules of engagement in any task I am assigned.
