Scripture Reading:1 John 5:-6 This is the message we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness. If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not tell the truth:
Reflections: The Apostle John emphasises that no matter what occurs, light will always be incompatible with darkness. He then compares righteousness to light and sin to darkness, establishing that righteousness and sin cannot coexist. He then defines God as pure light devoid of any darkness. Together, John hammers home the point that no one can claim to have a connection with God, who is light (righteousness) while remaining in darkness (sin). The undeniable truth is that you are incompatible with sin, and your life must bear witness to this.
Prayer: Lord, help me demonstrate that I am made to be incompatible with sin.
Confession: I am incompatible with sin.
