Scripture Reading: Philemon 1:22
But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
Reflections: Paul is held up in jail. He is however aware that many people are praying for his release. Philemon is one among the many praying for this breakthrough. Paul writes to him requesting that Philemon prepares a guest room for him. Paul was therefore planning to spend some time in Philemon’s house once he was freed. It goes to underscore the role of his faith in prayer. He knew that combining the prayers of his sympathizers with faith would herald his miracle. Prayer without expressing faith will always be unproductive (James 1:6-7). Faith must constantly be applied in prayer as a vital essential activity for supernatural results to take place (Hebrews 4:2;11:6). Like Paul, you must incorporate a faith component into your prayer life. It is the only way to attain outstanding outcomes. Don’t just pray; combine it with faith!
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me mix faith with prayers.
Confession: I mix prayers with faith.
