Scripture Reading: Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Reflections: The writer of Hebrews mentions the existence of a great cloud of witnesses. It has a connection to our survival as people of faith who should never give up in our Christian walk. Hebrews 11:4-40 gives us a hint of who this cloud of witnesses may be and their purpose for our lives. It talks of many departed saints who lived and broke through in life by faith in spite of the odds. The signal from the cloud of witnesses to you is loud and clear – they made it… You can also make it! Yes, others made it. You can also make it. Keep running the race of our faith.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that I am enabled to make it in life.
