Scripture Reading: Mark 8:23
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; when he had spit on his eyes and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
Reflections: In contrast to his earlier miracles, in which he commanded healing to occur, Jesus engages in a systematic process to restore this blind man. Initially, he takes him out of the city. Then he places his hands over his eyes after spitting over them. Knowing that healing had occurred, Jesus asked the man if he could see. The feedback the man gave implied that partial healing had taken place. Jesus laid his hands on him again—this time, complete recovery occurred. Jesus, in this story, showed the importance of assessment in activity implementation for results. Assessing your goal-achieving activities from time to time is crucial. It will indicate the state of your progress and inform your next move. Keep assessing your actions to maintain a trail of success.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to assess the actions I take periodically.
Confession: I periodicall assess the actions I take.
