Scripture Reading: Romans 9:1-2 (KJV)
“I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, that I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.”
Reflections: There is a reason God gave us a conscience—it is His built-in warning system, helping us discern right from wrong. But for the believer, our conscience is more than just a moral guide; it is a tool the Holy Spirit uses to lead and convict us. Paul declared that his conscience bore witness in the Holy Ghost. This means that a Spirit-led conscience is aligned with God’s truth. When we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, He will use our conscience to steer us in the right direction. However, if we ignore it repeatedly, we risk dulling our spiritual senses. Stay sensitive to your conscience, knowing that the Holy Spirit speaks through it. When conviction comes, do not ignore it—respond in obedience. A pure conscience before God brings peace, clarity, and a deeper walk with Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of a conscience guided by Your Holy Spirit.
Confession: My conscience is yielded to the Holy Spirit. I listen and obey when God speaks.rans4d
