Scripture Reading: Acts 28:5 (KJV)
“And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.”
Reflections: After surviving a shipwreck, Paul was gathering sticks when a venomous snake fastened onto his hand. The islanders expected him to die, but Paul remained fearless. Instead of panicking, he shook the snake into the fire and suffered no harm. His unwavering faith and courage demonstrated God’s divine protection. Fear opens the door to doubt and defeat, but faith and courage invite God to move on our behalf. Paul did not react in fear when the snake bit him—he simply shook it off. Fearlessness is not the absence of challenges but the confidence that God is greater than whatever comes against us. In life, we may face sudden attacks—whether in health, finances, relationships, or spiritual battles. Fear wants to cripple us, but God calls us to trust Him completely. Like Paul, we must learn to “shake off” every attack of the enemy and trust in God’s unfailing protection.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I reject fear and stand firm in faith, knowing that You are my protector.
Confession: I refuse to fear! I walk in faith and divine protection.
