Scripture Reading: Colossians 1:13-14 (MEV)
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of His dear Son, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
Reflections: Salvation may seem simple—just confessing Jesus and becoming born again. But Paul reminds the Colossians that our redemption came through the blood of Jesus. The word “redemption” means a ransom was fully paid to free us from the power of darkness. Thus Jesus’ blood bought our freedom, and through His sacrifice, we receive forgiveness and are transferred into His kingdom of light. This understanding reminds us not to take salvation lightly. Salvation came at a cost we can never pay. It was paid for with the life of Christ. Let this truth deepen your commitment to living a life worthy of the price that was paid for you.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus. Help me to honor my salvation daily.
Confession: I live in a way that reflects the great cost of my salvation.
