Thursday, 26th August 2021: What you put in your mind will determine what you will do!

Scripture Reading: 1 Chronicles 28:2
Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

Reflections: King David overtime had gathered materials for the construction of the temple. As he presented these to his people, he informed them about how he was motivated to achieve this feet. According to him, he first identified the building of a temple as a need. Following this he often thought about how materials to build the temple ought to be procured. These thoughts eventually drove him into action. We derive an important life principle from his testimony- one is driven by what they put in their mind or thoughts! Watch what you put in your mind, then. You will be surely driven by it!

Prayer: Lord, help me put in my mind what will not lead me out of the path of righteousness.

Confession: My mind will only ponder over what will keep me on the path of righteousness.
