Thursday, 25th February 2016:Look for what will disengage you from your limitations and not what will continue to keep you as a servant to your limitations!

Scripture Reading: Acts 3:6-7
And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

Reflection: The man was 40 years old. He had been born lame in the feet. The lameness had limited him in life such that all he could do was to beg for money and to be at the mercy of people. As Peter asked him to look intently at him, the lamed man responded affirmatively but with an expectation different from that of Peter. Whereas he was in expectation for money, Peter was looking forward to giving him what will disengage him from his limitation. Peter therefore declined from giving him money and healed him of the lameness. The man leaped and jumped about for joy. He was free to lead a decent life and to pursue excellence in life. Begging had kept him still bound to his limitations but healing had disengaged him from the limitations. In life you must look for what will disengage you from your limitations and not what will continue keeping you as a servant to your limitations. Seek help from God to break away from every limitation in your life. Ask God to send a Peter your way!

Confession: I will not be held a slave to what limits me in life. In the name of Jesus I break away from all limitations.
