Scripture Reading: Acts 3:2
And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
Reflections: His two legs were deformed from birth. Each day he was carried to the temple’s entrance, where he begged for alms. Such was his life’s established routine. Even though he never anticipated this routine to change, the inevitable occurred one day. As he sat there begging, he noticed Peter and James approaching. He extended his hands towards them in anticipation of receiving alms. Their response shocked him and ended his life of begging. Peter prayed over him, took him by the hand, and pulled him to his feet. This brought instantaneous healing to his legs. This story demonstrates that no circumstance, regardless of how bad it may be, is permanent. When God intervenes, the seemingly impossible change that is required will occur. Never assume that a problematic situation in your life will persist indefinitely. As with the disabled man, the status will change.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that my situation is not permanent. Change is coming.
Confession: My circumstance will change for the better.
