Thursday, 23rd December 2021: Your revelation of the majesty of God will determine how you honour Him!

Scripture Reading: Matthew 2:11
And when they came into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell, and worshipped Him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto Him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Reflections: The wise men were strangers to the Jewish world. Unlike the Jews, they had no idea about the coming Messiah. One day they identified a star in the skies to be uniquely different from the normal ones. As they looked intently at it, they discerned its divine essence. A baby boy who will be the king of the Jews had been born. Since they could tell that this was not an ordinary king, they decided to leave town in search of Him. They carried their treasure boxes with them as they journeyed. Relentlessly, they made it to Jerusalem and then to Bethlehem. Though they found the baby in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes, it did not alter their conviction about His superiority. Falling quickly on their knees, they joyfully worshipped and gave Him precious gifts out of their treasure boxes. The response of the wise men to the birth of Jesus Christ is enough to underscore the submission that one’s revelation or perception of who God is, largely determines how they worship and honour Him. Indeed, like the wise men, when you catch a glimpse of the majesty of the son of God, you are sure to give Him the place of highest honour and worship. Merry Christmas!

Prayer: Dear Lord, give me a personal revelation about your majesty this Christmas season.

Confession: I walk with a personal revelation about the majesty of Jesus. I give Him unparalleled worship and honour!
