Scripture Reading: Romans 8:29
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Reflection: Paul unfolds the overall agenda of God’s plan for man- to get us to be like His son, Jesus Christ! According to Paul, this can be made possible as we ‘ conform to His image’. The word ‘conform’ means to comply with rules, standards or laws. ‘Image’ on the other hand refers to the reflection of one’s self as seen in a mirror. It is the representation of your external form. Thus, as you comply with the standards of the word of God, your life automatically begins to transform and function as the image of Christ. You simply reflect Him in character and in power. How glorious! You are indeed on a journey of transformation. Don’t let anybody stop you. Remain compliant to the rules of engagement (the Word of God) and see what happens!
Prayer: Oh Lord, help me to conform to the image of your son. Let me not stop the process.
Confession: My life is on a glorious journey of transformation. I am conforming to the image of Christ. I live in absolute compliance to the rules and standards of the Word of God.
