Scripture Reading: Genesis 24:35
“The LORD has blessed my master greatly, and he has become great; and He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female servants, camels and donkeys.”
Reflections: God entered into a covenant with Abraham to bless nations through him (Genesis 12:2-3). This covenant included both spiritual promises and material blessings, equipping Abraham to fulfill his mission of influencing the world and leading others to worship God. In Genesis 24:35-36, Abraham’s servant testified of these blessings, emphasizing how they enabled Abraham to carry out his divine mandate. These provisions were not for selfish gain but tools to fulfill God’s purpose. Abraham’s story teaches us that while our purpose is spiritual, living in a physical world involves costs. God understands these needs and provides material blessings to equip us for His work. As we trust Him for provision, we must also use His blessings to glorify Him and impact lives for His kingdom.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, broaden my sphere of blessing and make me a faithful steward of Your grace.
Confession:
I walk in God’s covenant of abundance, equipped to fulfill my divine purpose and influence lives for His glory.
