Scripture Reading: Gen 30:27 And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake. And he said, appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.
Reflections: After two decades of dedicating himself to tending his master and Uncle Laban’s flock, Jacob had grown tired of being cheated. He decided it was time to move on and informed Laban of his intentions. To his surprise, Laban begged him to stay, asking him to determine a new and increased salary scale, which he promised to honour. He had now recognized the value of his contributions to the business’s success. This turn of events led to Jacob’s fortune changing; he became wealthy. Just like Jacob, keep working hard and producing results. God will cause your hard work to be recognized and rewarded accordingly.
Prayer: Oh Lord, cause my hard work to be recognized and adequately rewarded.
Confession: God will open doors of opportunity for promotions, compensation and rewards in my life.
