Scripture Reading: Mat 28:2-4
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
Reflections: It was known by His killers that He was going to rise from the dead on the third day. They therefore hatched a plan against the testimony of His resurrection. They sealed His tomb and hired watchers to prevent any act of resurrection from taking place. The watchers seemed to be doing a good job until the sound of thunder vibrated the grounds. It was the presence of an angel from heaven. The angel rolled away the stone covering the tomb and sat on it. In great fear, the watchers took to flight and abandoned their assignment. Soon the news of the resurrection of Jesus broke out in the township. The testimony was heard loud and clear all over the place. It’s manifestation could not be prevented. People may be actively working against the testimonies of your life but they cannot hold on to their evil scheme for long. Like the hired watchers, they will soon give up their assignment. Thank God for divine intervention and ask Him for it!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that by your power those hired against the testimony of my life will give up their assignment.
Confession: Those hired against my testimony will give up their assignment !
