Scripture Reading: Matthew 15:13
But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up
Reflections: Jesus openly rebuked the Pharisees and Scribes for elevating their tradition above the words of God. He rightly called them fraudsters and hypocrites. Rather than appreciating the truth and taking steps to change behaviour, they took offence. On being told about this reaction, Jesus then likened them to strange plants growing among legitimate ones who will eventually be uprooted. To be uprooted speaks of Judgment. This must be avoided at all costs. Unlike the Pharisees and Scribes, appreciate any truth told you no matter how bitter it may be and learn from it. This will position you to keep attracting the blessings of God!
Prayer: Oh Lord, give me the grace to accept my faults when pointed out to me.
Confession: I love been told the truth no matter how bitter it may sound.
