Scripture Reading: 1Kings 17:1
And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
Reflection: According to 1Kings 16, the most elevated person was king Ahab. In his elevated status he controlled Israel and caused his people to sin and to enter into a state of apostasy. By 1Kings 17:1, God had to supernaturally elevate Elijah to confront the evil works of Ahab. Elijah means ‘My God is the Lord’. In other words it means My God reigns!. The case for supernatural elevation cannot be underestimated. As long as evil is championed by some elevated persons in society, God will set up people beyond the physical with supernatural manifestations to prove that He reigns. Are you ready to confront the ‘Ahabs’ around you? You need supernatural elevation. Ask God for it! This is the position in life where things work at your command to the Glory of God.
Prayer: Lord, grant me a supernatural elevated status so I can prove that you reign supreme!
