Scripture Reading: Acts 10:4
And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
Reflections: Cornelius prayed daily and generously helped people experiencing poverty and those in need. He continued this lifestyle consistently, unaware that it had become a memorial before God. A memorial is a record kept in one’s memory to honour the person. As a result, God sent an angel to visit him, leading to his salvation and that of his entire family. Consistently doing what is right and pleasing to God attracts divine attention. Like Cornelius, remain consistent in doing what pleases the Lord, as it will establish a memorial on your behalf that God cannot overlook.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me live a life that pleases you consistently.
Confession: I pleas the Lord consistently!
