Scripture Reading: Rev 10:8-9
And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
Reflections: The look of the powerful angel In his vision was quite frightening. Dressed in a cloud, he had a rainbow around his head. His face was like the sun and his legs like poles of fire. When he shouted, it was like the roaring of a lion and it caused the voice of 7 thunders to speak. As John looked on, God spoke from the heavens and instructed him to pick up the scroll that was open in the hands of the angel. It looked like an impossible task given the looks and the power of the angel. But John knew he had to carry out the divine instruction by any means possible and proceeded to ask the angel for it. The angel obliged and handed over the scroll to him. Like John, although doing the bidding of the lord can be set in an intimidating environment , you must still gather the courage and pay heed. It is important to obey God than to to allow circumstances or people to alter your response. Obedience remains the key to sustaining your relationship with God.
Prayer: Dear Lord, grant me the audacity to do your will even in the midst of intimidating factors.
Confession: No factor can intimidate my willingness to obey. Obedience mode is activated in my life.
