Thursday, 14th September 2023: Don’t underestimate what God can do – have faith and trust in Him!

Scripture Reading: Psalm 114:7-8 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

Reflections: After a long and tiring journey through the wilderness, the group desperately needed water to quench their thirst. When they saw a rock before them, they thought it was irrelevant to their needs. But as Moses prayed for help, God turned his attention to the same rock. He commanded Moses to speak to it; water poured out of it to quench everyone’s thirst. This story teaches us that God can use seemingly insignificant things to meet our needs. Even a rock can provide a water fountain when we need it most. So don’t underestimate what God can do – have faith and trust in Him!
Prayer: Oh Lord, let me see a ‘rock’ in my life become my source of ‘drinking water’.
Confession: All ‘rocks’ in my life will be turned around into ‘a fountain of water’.
