Thursday, 14th January 2021: Don’t look back!

Scripture Reading: Luke 9:62. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Reflections: Agriculturally, for a plowman to be successful on his farm, he must concentrate on the plowing job he had started. He is aware that if he looks back as he plows, his plow line would become crooked and this will impact negatively on the expected harvest yield. As a result, he refuses to be distracted by the things behind him and looks ahead as he plows. He does not look back at all. Like the plowman, your life as a Christian must not succumb to things that will distract you. Stay worthy of the kingdom by holding on and forging ahead Don’t ever give up!
Prayer: Oh Lord, help me to keep going!
Confession: I keep going in life as mandated by God.
