Reflection: The word ‘communion’ also means fellowship. The words.’And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all’ is so familiar with us! But truly speaking, in practice we may be missing out on its real meaning. Fellowship is a two sided affair. It is real friendship! Our fellowship with the Holy Spirit however appears to be one sided in prayer- we ask for what we want and we leave out what the Holy Spirit wants. When was the last time you prayed saying: ‘Dear Holy Spirit, is there anything you want me to do?’. We have been ‘using’ the Holy Spirit but we have not really allowed Him to use us. The friendship has been one sided. It is time to allow Him to use us. What do you think will happen if a child who is always asking his father for favors, one day comes and says to his father, ‘ Father, what do you want me to do for you?’. The bond of friendship will be deepened I guess! You see, friendship is never one sided! May the fellowship of the Holy Spirit truly be with us all!!
Scripture Reading: 2Corinthians13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.
Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, is there anything you want me to do?
