Scripture Reading: Psalm 139:16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when there was none of them.
Reflections: When David considered how he was formed in his mother’s womb (the process of pregnancy), he discovered that he was indeed fearfully and wonderfully made by God. As part of this discovery, he noted that the process, as well as the number of days he should spend on earth both inside and outside of the womb, was actually per what had already been written down by God in a book. We can conclude that each person has a divine ‘resident permit’ specifying the number of days they are permitted to stay on the earth and how to live their lives throughout their stay. With this knowledge, it is essential to understand that your life on earth is clocked with a destiny to be fulfilled. While you pray to see the given days of your permit fully expended, you must also apply wisdom to your life (Psalm 90:12-17).
Prayer: Dear Lord, let me fulfil the days of my life on earth as per the terms and conditions of my divine ‘resident permit’.
Confession. My days on earth are numbered with specific destinies to be fulfilled. I apply wisdom to how I live.
