Scripture Reading: Psalm 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Reflections: Life, often times, presents hidden dangers (snare of the Fowler) and deadly diseases (noisome pestilence) which constitutes a threat to one’s wellbeing and survival. Once you are caught in such a ‘web’, it is seemingly difficult to escape and can therefore lead to your destruction or untimely death. The Psalmist however discovers a way out. He submits that God is sure to provide the deliverance needed. The word ‘deliver’ as used by him is translated from the Hebrew word ‘ nâtsal‘. It means to ’snatch away’. How relieving it will be to see yourself snatched away to safety from something you cannot deal with. Yes! that’s what God will surely do! Believe Him for it!
Prayer: Oh Lord snatch me away from hidden dangers and deadly diseases.
Confession: God will snatch me away from hidden dangers and deadly diseases.
